Job summary

PwC in Houston is seeking an IT Audit/SOX - Experienced Associate to support internal controls, compliance, and governance processes within Advisory. In this role you will learn from senior team members, adapt to changing scope, take ownership of tasks, and develop skills in research, data interpretation, and clear communication.

You will help evaluate internal control activities, document process flows, test control design and operating effectiveness, and gather information from various sources

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in IT audit or SOX testing.
• Experience with internal controls and governance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support internal audit and SOX testing across financial reporting and controls documentation.
• Review narratives, risk/control matrices, and control design for gaps.
• Test key controls and document results with evidence.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify patterns and control issues.
• Prepare workpapers and observations summarizing findings and root causes.
• Assist walkthroughs, issue follow-up, and remediation tracking.
• Apply IT audit concepts and methodologies on client engagements.
• Utilize data analysis and reporting skills to support testing deliverables.
