Highmark Health is offering a Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship to gain hands-on experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance across Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

Interns will work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, Risk Management and business professionals to evaluate controls protecting assets and systems and to ensure regulatory compliance in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems.
• Internship designed to develop IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management and governance skills.

Responsabilités

• Support day-to-day IT audit activities and participate in IT assurance engagements.
• Assist in evaluating technology and security risks and controls.
• Document audit results and develop recommendations for process improvements.
• Collaborate with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, Risk Management, and business teams.
• Contribute to system implementation reviews and audit methodologies.
• Assist with regulatory compliance considerations including HIPAA and data privacy.
• Support projects and programs to develop professional skills within the organization.

Formation

Enrollment in accredited college/university baccalaureate program

Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems
