Job summary

Highmark Health is offering a Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship to gain hands-on experience across IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance at Highmark Health and subsidiaries.

You will work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, Risk Management, and business professionals to evaluate controls protecting assets and sensitive information, while learning regulatory requirements and audit methodologies.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with IT assurance and advisory engagements.
• Support evaluating technology and security risks and controls.
• Document audit results and develop recommendations for process improvements.
• Participate in planning and implementation of projects within the area of IT audit and governance.
• Adhere to HIPAA and privacy policies and procedures.
