Job summary

Highmark Health invites applications for the Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship to gain hands-on experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance across Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

You will work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, Risk Management, and business teams to evaluate controls protecting assets and regulated data, while learning audit methodologies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with stakeholders across organization and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively while collaborating with colleagues, clients, and internal stakeholders on assignments and day-to-day problems.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services aligned with area objectives and receive mentorship from senior staff.
• Participate in projects to develop professional skills and contribute to organizational needs.
• Support planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting with recommendations or action proposals as requested by management.
• Engage in studies or enrichment programs related to unit objectives.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as needed.
