Job summary

State of Maryland is seeking an Audit Compliance Manager to provide managerial direction to IT Audit Compliance Analysts and oversee corrective action monitoring across agencies. The role requires experience in IT audits, governance, and reporting to leadership on findings and resolutions.

Based in Annapolis, this Management Service position emphasizes decision-making and relationship-building with IT personnel and agency staff. A CIA/CISSP/CRISC/CISA designation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, or related field.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of professional auditing experience that includes exposure to information systems audits, network security or general IT controls.
• Experience supervising staff for at least three years and managing multiple IT audits simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Reviews OL A reports and audit work papers for programs with repeat or significant IT findings.
• Assesses adequacy of agency plans to resolve IT audit findings.
• Reports to AFCU Deputy Director on corrective action monitoring statuses.
• Guides IT audit analysts to ensure adequate discussion of agency corrective actions.
• Prepares executive level reporting on monitoring activities for AFCU support.
• Develops and implements standard procedures for IT audit compliance analysts.
• Plans, coordinates, and supervises activities of IT audit compliance analysts.
• Reviews and approves working papers to document AFCU's assessment and conclusions.
• Assists agencies with vendor risk management and reviews of SOC reports from third parties.
