Job summary

Grant Thornton International Ltd in Tampa, FL invites applications for the IT Audit Assurance Intern role. You will deliver a full range of IT audit services to clients, testing information systems controls in support of financial statement audits, working with Partners, Managers, and Senior Executives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, MIS or related field; Master’s a plus.
• Desire to pursue CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA or CISM license.
• Some related public accounting experience delivering IT controls services.
• Information Security experience or training is required.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication.
• Strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Willingness to learn through structured and on-the-job training.
• Ability to travel and work additional hours as necessary.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0.

Responsibilities

• Applying IT trends to identify security and risk issues and process improvements.
• Maintaining professionalism and managing client expectations.
• Gaining understanding of client operations and objectives for engagements.
• Participating in recruiting efforts.
• Meeting IT Assurance metrics (billable hours, CPE, delinquencies).
• Participating in business development activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
