Job summary

Sunflower Bank, N.A. seeks an IT Staff Auditor II for our Gilbert, AZ location. The role focuses on risk-based testing of IT controls, assessing governance processes, and contributing to the Internal Audit Plan.

You will document results, communicate findings, and support remediation efforts with audit standards in mind. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in IT internal audit within financial services, and may have preferred certifications like CISA or CISM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of five (5) years of IT internal audit experience within financial services.
• Audit certification such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CDPSE, etc. is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute IT and integrated audit procedures per approved program, testing control design and operating effectiveness.
• Perform risk-based testing over key IT processes (access management, change management, IT operations, data integrity).
• Prepare and maintain audit workpapers documenting procedures, evidence, results, and conclusions.
• Communicate audit progress, findings, and issues to Internal Audit management clearly and timely.
• Assist in preparing audit deliverables, including summaries of testing results and issue documentation.
• Follow up on management action plans to confirm remediation.
• Maintain understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
