Sunflower Bank in Canon City, CO is seeking an energetic IT Staff Auditor II to contribute to the Internal Audit function. The role involves risk-based testing of IT and integrated controls, assessing IT risks like access and change management, and communicating findings to audit management.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of IT internal audit experience in financial services, with preferred certifications such as CISA or CISM. Travel to other locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; minimum of five years IT internal audit experience in financial services.
• Audit certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CDPSE preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; project management ability.

Responsabilités

• Execute IT and integrated audit procedures per approved program, testing control design and effectiveness.
• Perform risk-based testing over IT processes (access/change management, IT operations, data integrity).
• Prepare and maintain audit workpapers documenting procedures, evidence, results, and conclusions.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand systems, processes and key controls.
• Identify control deficiencies and assist in developing observations with root causes and risk impact.
• Communicate audit progress, findings, and issues to Internal Audit management clearly.
