Sunflower Bank, N.A. is seeking an energetic IT Staff Auditor II to join our Internal Audit team in Canon City, CO. You will perform risk-based IT and integrated audits, document findings, and support blue-chip controls across access, change, operations, and data integrity.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years IT/financial services audit experience, with preferred certifications (CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CDPSE). Travel may be required, and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 5+ years IT internal audit experience in financial services.
• Audits require knowledge of IT risk areas such as access, change, operations, data integrity.
• Audit certifications are preferred (CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CDPSE).
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Execute IT and integrated audit procedures per approved program.
• Perform risk-based testing over IT processes (access, change, ops, data).
• Document workpapers with evidence, results, and conclusions.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand systems and controls.
• Identify deficiencies and root causes with risk implications.
• Communicate progress and findings to audit management.
