Job summary

Awecomm is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to ensure the right equipment is available when needed. You will manage inventory records, perform audits, and support asset lifecycles in a fast-paced IT services environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration with procurement, and continuous improvement of inventory processes, with onsite work in Troy, MI and limited hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with inventory control in an IT or MSP environment.
• Strong familiarity with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory and asset records in the inventory system.
• Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate equipment receiving, storage, staging, deployment, and distribution.
• Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
• Collaborate with procurement to support equipment purchasing and fulfillment.
• Assist with equipment procurement, asset tagging, and inventory intake processes.
• Track hardware lifecycles, warranties, and vendor returns.
• Maintain asset records throughout the lifecycle and support onboarding/offboarding.
