Job Description
Solu is seeking an IT Asset Coordinator to support equipment change requests, hardware and network service repairs, vendor coordination, and asset management across multiple remote locations. This role serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, field technicians, hardware vendors, and telecommunications providers to coordinate service requests, maintain equipment inventories, and help ensure reliable technology operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple service requests, vendors, records, and deadlines simultaneously. This position will also provide cross-functional backup support to the Asset Coordination team as needed.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and Monitor Field Services: Coordinate contracted personnel for work at remote facilities, track projects through completion, and ensure vendors meet contractual service-level agreements for response times, resolution, and on-site performance.
- Coordinate Vendor Reviews: Participate in recurring vendor meetings to review service delivery, address performance concerns, and ensure accountability.
- Support Contract Management: Assist with monitoring and negotiating site-specific contracts with telecommunications, hardware, cabling, and other technology service providers.
- Coordinate Equipment Moves and Emergency Repairs: Manage requests for new hardware, equipment relocations, site cabling, wiring, telephone infrastructure, and emergency service calls from initiation through resolution.
- Maintain Asset Inventories: Manage central inventory reserves and track assets at remote locations, including computers, displays, keyboards, printers, server racks, routers, switches, power management equipment, and remote-access hardware.
- Maintain Facility Floor Plans: Keep accurate and up-to-date facility floor plans to support technicians with hardware installations, maintenance, and service activities.
- Review and Process Telecom Invoices: Review monthly telephone and telecommunications invoices, enter relevant information into tracking systems, and support accurate financial and service records.
- Track Costs and Service Activity: Maintain detailed records of vendor service calls, resolution reports, equipment changes, and associated costs using spreadsheets and asset management tools.
- Serve as a Primary Liaison: Communicate with business stakeholders, site administrators, technology teams, and vendors throughout the service request and resolution process.
- Support Procurement and Process Development: Assist with ITBs/RFPs, lifecycle management plans, pricing analyses, standard operating procedures, and process improvements related to asset management and vendor coordination.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Provide backup support for circuit ordering, mobile wireless device provisioning, ticket tracking, and asset documentation while maintaining accurate records in enterprise asset management systems.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field; and Two or more years of experience with IT hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance; or An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Satisfactory background check is required.
