Job summary

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is offering a Temporary IT Applications Deployment Intern position at the Global Operations & Innovation Center in Wheeling, WV. This hybrid role requires regular onsite work and candidates must be within commutable distance or relocate at their own expense.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting software applications, imaging desktops, and working with SQL Server databases and SCCM/Endpoint Configuration Manager, while collaborating across the firm.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Windows and Mac OS and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of networking concepts, database concepts (SQL Server) and basic scripting/programming.
• Cloud-based SaaS understanding and support.
• Familiarity with AI tools and prompt-writing.
• Experience with low-code/no-code tools like Power Automate/Power Apps.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask.
• Ownership mindset with enthusiasm and innovation.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a professional environment.
• Currently a student in an IT-related degree program (associate or bachelor's).

Responsibilities

• Assist the technical support of software applications.
• Test, document, and troubleshoot applications; image desktops.
• Support in modifying/troubleshooting the desktop imaging process (Windows and Mac, focusing on Macs).
• Assist in creating software packages with SCCM/Endpoint Configuration Manager.
• Support maintaining SQL Server databases; run basic queries and routine tasks.
• Communicate and collaborate with customers and teams across the firm.
• Coordinate special applications projects and initiatives.

Overview

Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Temporary IT Applications Deployment Intern in our Global Operations & Innovation Center in Wheeling, WV.

Please Note:This is a hybrid role requiring regular onsite work in Wheeling, WV. Candidates must be within commutable distance or willing to relocate at their own expense. Remote-only arrangements are not available for this position.

Responsibilities

Our internship will provide you with training and resources, challenging opportunities and real technical projects to grow your professional and technical talent:

• Assist the technical support of software applications
• Testing, documenting and trouble-shooting applications, and imaging desktops
• Support in modifying and trouble-shooting the desktop imaging process for Windows and Mac machines with a focus on Macs
• Assisting in the creation of software packages using tools such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager/Endpoint Configuration Manager
• Support in maintaining SQL Server databases by running basic queries, reviewing data for accuracy, and assisting with routine database-related tasks
• Communicating and collaborating with customers and teams across the firm
• Coordinating special applications projects and initiatives

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $18.00 hour and $20.00 hour.

This is a short-term, temporary position. Our temporary team members are eligible for paid sick leave where required by location.
