Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking an Applications Analyst III to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for IT solutions in a healthcare setting.

The hybrid position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 3–7 years of IT experience, preferably in healthcare, with strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and Epic or related certifications.

• Minimum of 3 (7 if no degree) years of IT experience, preferably in healthcare or related field; OR 2 (4 if no degree) years of IT experience and 2 (4 if no degree) years of clinical experience.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook and strong documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and self-direction.
• Epic certifications or relevant experience as required by department/position.

The Applications Analyst III gathers business requirements, conducts needs assessments, and develops functional specifications and build to ensure that developed information technology solutions support business objectives. This level works with little or no supervision and acts as a resource for lower level Application Analysts.

This position is hybrid.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4) years of experience.
• Minimum of 3 (7 if no degree) years of IT experience, preferably in healthcare or related field OR 2 (4 if no degree) years of IT experience and 2 (4 if no degree) years of clinical experience.
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
• Works independently and effectively manages time with little or no supervision.
• Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.
• Creates and maintains clear, concise documentation.
• Collaborates with other team members across the department.
• Demonstrates self-direction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Epic and/or other relevant certification(s) or, where applicable, other relevant applications experience, per the department and/or position needs for HMH. This includes, but is not limited to, EPIC certifications such as Prelude, Cadence, Willow, Cogito, Ambulatory, MyChart, Resolute, Health Information Management.
