Job Summary
Under the direction of the IT Manager or Director, the IT Application Administrator manages the application environments, software systems, and third-party IT products within the IT portfolio. Responsibilities include planning, design, development, release management, troubleshooting, and support of these systems. The role involves providing support, maintenance, access, and security administration, along with troubleshooting issues and communicating solutions to technical management. The position requires high interaction with users, technical teams, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end users and collaborate with Service Desk, providing guidance and knowledge base articles.
- Administer IT application systems, environments, upgrades, and security.
- Assist in implementing, configuring, and supporting new services and applications.
- Support operational activities, documentation, and process improvements.
- Coordinate troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance issues with infrastructure teams.
- Assist in installation, disaster recovery planning, and testing of applications.
- Adhere to change management processes and represent application changes in meetings.
- Deploy and manage application and third-party tools, supporting 24x7 operations including off-hours support.
- Monitor system performance, recommend improvements, and implement approved solutions.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely delivery of technical artifacts.
- Stay updated on new tools and technologies, promote teamwork, and mentor junior staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
- 3-5 years of application administration or development experience.
- 1+ years of Sitecore site-level administration or web development.
- Experience with applications on Windows and SQL platforms.
- Ability to work off-hours in a 24x7 support environment.
- Experience supporting third-party applications.
- Healthcare experience, vendor management, and familiarity with ServiceNow, Sitecore, Office 365, and communication tools are preferred.
