Firefly Aerospace seeks an IT Analyst II to deploy and support hardware and software for end users, while maintaining endpoint security through patching, AV updates, and encryption. You will translate technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute to IT and infrastructure projects.
You may train users on basic and specialized applications and travel 1–2 times per quarter to support launch activities.

As an IT Analyst II on the Service Desk team you deploy and support hardware and software solutions for end users and provide day to day technical support for related issues and requests You are expected to maintain strong endpoint security through device patching AV updates and file encryption You will communicate highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel and will participate in the planning and execution of information technology and infrastructure projects You may conduct training programs designed to educate an organizations computer users about basic and specialized applications You may be required to travel one to two times per quarter to support launch activities The position reports to the IT Operations Manager in our corporate office in Cedar Park TX
Install diagnose repair maintain and upgrade end user hardware and softwareGrant and revoke access to systemsUse technical knowledge and expertise to resolve issues reported by internal usersFollow documented workflows and industry standards when resolving issuesEscalate to the appropriate technical resources for more complex issuesMaintain asset inventory and work with team members to ensure offices have adequate hardware levelsDocument issues in request tickets and create documentation for user consumption as neededParticipate in an on call rotation
Required High school diploma with a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience A mixture of higher education and relevant work experience will be considered for candidates in accredited 2 year or 4 year programsKnowledge of Active Directory Azure AD MS M365 User Administration and Windows operating systemsExcellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical instructions to all skill levelsSolid understanding of PC and Laptop hardware internal components etcBasic knowledge of networking devices such as switches and routersTechnical troubleshooting diagnostics and incident management skillsAble to prioritize workload effectivelyStay current with common computer operations concepts and tools for solving technical issuesAble to lift up to 50 pounds
Associate Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study eg MIS IS IT CNS Computer Engineering Windows Networking AdministrationCompTIA A or equivalent experienceExperience working with Microsoft Enterprise products such as System Center Configuration ManagerMicrosoft GCC High experienceJIRAConfluence experienceMacOS support andor Linux laptop support experienceScripting experience to enable automation of tasks in JIRA or Active Directory
