Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking an IT Analyst II to join the Service Desk, deploying and supporting hardware and software for end users. You will maintain endpoint security through patching, AV updates, and encryption, and communicate technical information to both technical and nontechnical staff.

Occasional travel to support launch activities may be required. The role reports to the IT Operations Manager in Cedar Park, TX, with daily work at the corporate office.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with at least 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, MS M365 User Administration, and Windows OS.
  • Excellent customer service and ability to communicate technical instructions to all skill levels.
  • Strong PC and laptop hardware knowledge.
  • Basic networking device knowledge (switches/routers).
  • Solid troubleshooting, diagnostics, and incident management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Grant and revoke access to systems.
  • Resolve issues reported by internal users.
  • Follow documented workflows and industry standards when resolving issues.
  • Escalate to appropriate technical resources for more complex issues.
  • Maintain asset inventory and ensure offices have adequate hardware levels.
  • Document issues in request tickets and create user-facing documentation as needed.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.

Summary

As an IT Analyst II on the Service Desk team, you deploy and support hardware and software solutions for end users and provide day-to-day technical support for related issues and requests. You are expected to maintain strong endpoint security through device patching, AV updates, and file encryption. You will communicate highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel and will participate in the planning and execution of information technology and infrastructure projects. You may conduct training programs designed to educate an organization’s computer users about basic and specialized applications. You may be required to travel one to two times per quarter to support launch activities.

The position reports to the IT Operations Manager in our corporate office in Cedar Park, TX.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma with a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience. A mixture of higher education and relevant work experience will be considered for candidates in accredited 2-year or 4-year programs.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, MS M365 User Administration, and Windows operating systems
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical instructions to all skill levels
  • Solid understanding of PC and Laptop hardware, internal components, etc
  • Basic knowledge of networking devices, such as switches and routers.
  • Technical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and incident management skills.
  • Able to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Stay current with common computer operations concepts and tools for solving technical issues.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Desired
  • Associate Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., MIS, IS, IT, CNS, Computer Engineering, Windows Networking Administration)
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with Microsoft Enterprise products, such as System Center Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft GCC-High experience
  • JIRA/Confluence experience
  • MacOS support and/or Linux laptop support experience
  • Scripting experience to enable automation of tasks in JIRA or Active Directory
