Job summary

EMCOR Mechanical Services, an EMCOR Company, is seeking an experienced Information Technology Administrator to support two EMCOR entities in Washington DC and Lanham, MD. This full-time role requires regular travel between the two sites to manage IT infrastructure and services.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in IT and at least 3 years’ experience with day-to-day IT infrastructure, servers, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with day-to-day IT Infrastructure and servers.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to work with all levels of management, employees, vendors and customers.
• Must be highly trustworthy and able to handle confidential information.
• Must have a valid Drivers License.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and diagnose network problems.
• Carry out routine configuration and installation of IT solution.
• Develop project timelines and track project progress.
• Evaluate and modify systems performance.
• Maintain integrity of network, server deployment, and security. Maintain network servers.
• Maintain network services for individual machines.
• Use the corporate ticketing system to respond to IT requests.
• Administer and manage telephone and voicemail systems.
