Job summary

The Sacramento SPCA is looking for an IT Administrator to lead the organization’s technology strategy and day-to-day IT operations. You will partner with the MSP, manage budgets, and drive improvements across security, access, and collaboration tools.

You will also develop policies, coordinate vendor efforts, and present technology roadmaps to leadership while ensuring reliable service during events and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of broad IT experience including help desk, systems administration, or MSP work.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Experience with MSP partnerships and co-managed IT environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as IT authority and single point of accountability for daily technology.
• Communicate IT updates and risks to leadership in clear, non-technical terms.
• Liaise between SSPCA Staff and MSP to manage the IT roadmap.
• Lead technology budgeting, vendor coordination, and procurement.
• Develop and maintain technology policies and incident response plans.
• Maintain documentation and oversee cybersecurity awareness programs.
