Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant networking experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• CCNA preferred; 5+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of certification.
• CompTIA Network+ or CCNP Enterprise preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deploy network layouts including routers, switches, VLANs, and cabling.
• Implement firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies.
• Monitor bandwidth and traffic to prevent bottlenecks and downtime.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues, including after-hours.
• Manage cloud/hybrid integration with AWS and Azure.
• Apply firmware updates, patches, and routine system backups.
• Document network configurations and procedures.
• Collaborate with centralized network team and helpdesk.

With an industry-leading pipeline of projects, strong financial positioning, and talented employees, we look forward to our bright future!Job Description:General Objectives:Reporting to the IT Supervisor, the IT Systems & Network Administrator supports the reliability, security, and availability of site network and infrastructure systems and provides technical support across hardware, software, connectivity, cloud, and virtualization environments.Key Areas of Responsibilities & Duties:The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:Network Design & Deployment: Plan and set up physical and wireless layouts, including routers, switches, servers, VLANs, and cabling.Security Configuration: Implement firewalls, virtual private networks, and access control policies to block unauthorized access.Monitoring & Optimization: Track bandwidth uses and traffic patterns using monitoring tools to prevent bottlenecks and downtime.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix hardware, software, and connectivity failures during outages, including after-hours and weekends.Cloud & Hybrid Integration: Manage connections between local hardware and cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.Maintenance & Updates: Apply firmware updates, patches, and routine system backups.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, upgrades, and operational procedures.Required Skills:Strong grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnetting, and routing protocols.Proficiency with enterprise hardware (Cisco, Palo Alto routers/switches/firewalls).Familiarity with server operating systems (Windows, Windows Server, Linux) and cloud/virtualization tools (VMware, AWS, Azure).Hardware configuration (routers, switches, firewalls, ESX hosts).Automation and scripting using tools like Python or Ansible.Cloud networking and multi-environment hybrid management.Problem-solving under pressure, multitasking, attention to detail, and clear communication to explain technical concepts to non-IT staff.Able to work independently and perform the core responsibilities with minimal to no supervision.Clear communication to report network status and train team members.Detail-oriented planning when drafting diagrams and network architecture.Work closely with the centralized network team and helpdesk.Required Experience:5+ years of relevant networking experience..Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education, certifications, and experience may be considered.CCNA preferred.
