Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an IT Administrator in Youngstown, OH to provide frontline end-user support in both office and production environments. You will gain exposure to desktops, mobile devices, networking, and warehouse technology while helping troubleshoot a range of hardware and software issues.

Ideal candidates have IT help desk experience, strong problem-solving, and excellent customer service. This is a contract-to-hire, fully onsite role offering growth within a collaborative TEKsystems

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT support contact via phone, email, and in person.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and device issues for end users.
• Support desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, IP phones, barcode scanners, and mobile devices.
• Image, configure, deploy, and refresh end-user hardware and peripherals.
• Assist new hire technology setup and equipment deployments.
• Track, inventory, and asset-tag IT equipment.
• Support production floor and warehouse tech, including handheld scanners and label printers.
• Basic network connectivity troubleshooting and wireless support.
• Assist with conference room tech and AV equipment.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff.

We're looking for an IT Administrator to join our team and provide frontline support for employees in both office and production environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with IT help desk experience who wants to build their technical skills while gaining exposure to desktops, mobile devices, networking, warehouse technology, and end-user support.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email, and in person

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and device-related issues for end users

• Support desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, docking stations, printers, scanners, IP phones, barcode scanners, and mobile devices

• Image, configure, deploy, and refresh end-user hardware and peripherals

• Assist with new hire technology setup and equipment deployments

• Track, inventory, and asset-tag IT equipment

• Support production floor and warehouse technologies, including handheld scanners, label printers, and shop-floor workstations

• Perform basic network connectivity troubleshooting and wireless support

• Assist with conference room technology, audio/visual equipment, and digital signage

• Escalate complex issues to senior IT team members as needed

What We're Looking For

• At least 6 months of IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support experience

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities

• Comfortable working directly with end users in office and operational environments

• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple support requests

• Eagerness to learn and grow within an IT organization

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Youngstown, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
