Job summary

Germanna Community College seeks an Information Technology Adjunct for the 2027 Academic Year to teach designated IT courses, develop syllabi and instructional materials, and assess student progress. The pool is for anticipated needs, with assignments contingent on enrollment and program demands.

Must reside within commuting distance of Spotsylvania or relocate to ensure attendance; compensation is paid per credit hour with a broad salary range reflecting diverse faculty ranks.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in Information Technology.
• Ability to effectively teach classrooms and online.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.
• Ability to use instructional technology.
• Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

• Teach specific classes in the designated discipline.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of GCC and the VCCS.
• Maintain current competence in the particular discipline or field of specialization.
