Virginia Community Colleges seeks an adjunct faculty member for Information Technology teaching. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning, delivering, and assessing courses in Information Technology to students from a variety of academic backgrounds. The position involves teaching both in‑person and online courses.
The incumbent must provide quality instruction, meet assigned classes regularly, submit required records and reports routinely, teach prescribed courses of study with established texts, and adhere to professional ethics standards set forth by the College.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Teaching load is up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semesters and/or up to 8 credit hours during the summer session. Salaries are commensurate with rank and credentials. The adjunct faculty contract does not guarantee continued employment.
The position is located in Virginia. Applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate. Travel to all campus locations may be expected.
