Job summary

Capstone Technology Partners is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Hanover, MD. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with MD polygraph and hands-on experience with RMF, ICAM, and system accreditation.

The ISSO will guide security architecture, support SR&AT processes, create SSPs, and ensure C&A packages are prepared and updated. A technical Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant work experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with ICD 503/NIST 800-53 certification and accreditation process.
• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Developing and maintaining SSPs.
• IAVA review and handling.
• Interpreting security scan results.
• Interfacing with System Administrators and Software Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare system security plan (SSP) and provide recommendations to assist in obtaining ATOs.
• Identify, develop and review artifacts for RMF accreditation package (architecture, risk reports, POA&Ms, data flows).
• Collaborate with ISSM and DAOs to ensure systems obtain and maintain accreditation.
• Verify package submissions meet approval thresholds (e.g., C&A package, SAR findings, POA&Ms, SSPs).
• Apply continuous monitoring techniques to evaluate security posture.
• Create tasking for developers and system admins for changes/patching.
• Oversee implementation of software patches to maintain security posture.
• Implement and enforce information systems security policies and standards.
