Job summary

Kaizen Approach is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to oversee information assurance for a program or enclave. You will propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce security policies while maintaining the operational security posture and supporting certification activities in compliance with NIST RMF and DoD requirements.

You will manage day-to-day security operations, assess vulnerabilities, maintain system security documentation, and help with security authorization.

Qualifications

• Must be able to propose, coordinate, implement, develop and enforce information systems security policies and ensure system-level compliance.
• Must support senior ISSOs and ISSM in maintaining an appropriate operational IA posture.
• Must maintain operational security posture and assist with day-to-day security operations.
• Must evaluate security solutions for processing classified information.
• Must provide and assist with configuration management for security-related software/hardware/firmware.
• Must maintain records for devices and document system upgrades and changes.
• Must develop and maintain system security documentation per ODNI/DoD policies and manage user authentication.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational security for programs, systems, or enclaves and coordinate security operations.
• Evaluate and select security solutions to meet requirements for classified information.
• Maintain system security documentation and oversee changes and upgrades.
• Support certification activities and risk assessments in line with NIST RMF.
