Job summary

JANUS Research Group is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to maintain the security posture of IT systems, networks and infrastructure. The role requires active Secret clearance and hands-on security engineering aligned with DoD RMF, eMASS, and policy compliance.

The ideal candidate will oversee ATO documentation, support certification and accreditation, and coordinate with engineering to ensure RMF readiness across programs. A compelling benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related scientific or technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience directly related to DoD cybersecurity Authorization or cybersecurity engineering activities.
• Minimum CISSP, CISM, CAP, CeH or equivalent certification

Responsibilities

• ISSO information system security officer – hands-on cybersecurity professional responsible for maintaining the day-to-day security posture, compliance and operational controls for IT systems; IP networks, server-based solutions, and IT infrastructure.
• Provide RMF/IA design, development and implementation support in identity and access management, public key infrastructure, defensive cyber infrastructure and operations.
• Prepare documentation required by the Authorization Official for Authority to Operate (ATO) and maintain POA&M in RMF continuous monitoring.
