Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to assess, authorize, and continuously defend information systems supporting a high-priority U.S. Government program.

You will develop, maintain, and continuously improve the System Security Plan (SSP) and evidence, drive RMF activities, and coordinate assessments with ISSM and government counterparts. This role requires U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of RMF/A&A or ISSO experience.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Experience producing authorization artifacts and evidence.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53, RMF, and SSP development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the SSP and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate and support security control assessments and RMF activities.
• Manage POA&Ms from identification through closure with timely remediation.
• Execute continuous monitoring in line with RMF framework and policies.
• Partner with platform/build and engineering teams to ensure proper control implementation.
• Support audit readiness and respond to government inquiries.
