Job summary

Strategic Business Systems, Inc. (SBS) seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support AWS Federal customers operating in highly secure, classified cloud environments. This role leads RMF activities, maintains ATO packages, and implements continuous monitoring to ensure DoD/NIST compliance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on RMF, cloud security with AWS-native services, and works with engineering teams to keep cloud environments secure across IL2/IL4/Secret/TS workloads.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance.
• 5+ years of Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or Information System Security experience.
• Minimum 2 years supporting RMF and NIST SP 800-53.
• Minimum 1 year supporting AWS cloud security environments.
• Experience creating and maintaining complete ATO packages.
• Experience with SSPs, POA&Ms, Continuous Monitoring, and Control Implementation Statements.
• Working knowledge of AWS security services.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF activities and maintain ATO packages.
• Implement continuous monitoring strategies and ensure DoD/NIST compliance.
• Configure and monitor AWS security services (GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, IAM).
• Assess cloud environments against NIST 800-53 controls.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers and customer security teams on secure cloud architectures.
• Support security assessments, audits, and compliance activities.
