Job summary

CGS is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support Department of Commerce systems and help achieve the Authorization to Operate (ATO) under RMF/DIACAP. The role focuses on security assessment documentation and lifecycle A&A management, located at the client site in Washington, DC.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in IA/ISSE/ISSO, eMASS experience, and relevant security certifications, with strong writing and documentation skills to support policy, testing, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years experience as IA Analyst/ISSO/ISSE in ATO package development.
• Experience with eMASS.
• Security certifications such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, or higher.

Responsibilities

• Review systems to identify security weaknesses and recommend improvements.
• Maintain responsibility for managing cybersecurity risk.
• Identify organizational risks and maintain a risk registry for senior leadership.
• Provide security guidance and RMF validation per NIST RMF/ DoC policies.
• Support security authorization activities including DIACAP to RMF transition.
