Job summary

LV8D Solutions seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to advise on secure configuration and operation of IT assets, supporting national security space and intelligence customers. You will oversee RMF artifacts, ATO activities, and continuous monitoring across information systems, collaborating with government personnel and contractors.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with conducting research and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles and implementations.
• Experience handling data transfers across classification levels.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with military personnel and contractors.
• Knowledge of IT/IA/IM policies and DoD procedures.
• Experience integrating information systems with physical security.
• Understanding of client-server, web hosting, firewalls, and networks.
• Proven ability to guide complex systems through assessment and authorization.
• Proficiency with forensics chain of custody and evidentiary preservation.
• Ability to translate technical information into plain English.
• Risk management experience with clear pros/cons explanations.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, UNIX, Mac OS.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an efficient operational security posture for programs and information systems.
• Interface with government customers and Accrediting Authorities.
• Perform vulnerability/risk assessments to support ATO.
• Prepare RMF artifacts: SSPs, ATO packages, RMRs, SCTMs, POA&M, System Assessment Plans, and Continuous Monitoring Plans.
• Support and track customer security authorization activities.
• Review IS policies, standards, and procedures.
• Coordinate IS assessments, tests, and reviews.
• Provide configuration management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Respond to and manage security incidents and vulnerabilities.
