Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer with hands-on ISSO/ISSM experience to drive security governance, risk evaluation, and compliance oversight across government systems.

The role focuses on RMF controls, system documentation, and continuous monitoring to deliver accurate security assessments and risk-focused recommendations, onsite in Falls Church, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of additional work experience in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of ISSO/ISSM related experience.
• Active Secret clearance; US citizenship required.
• Onsite in Falls Church, VA, 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security audits and RMF control assessments.
• Review, validate, and enhance SSPs, POA&Ms, and continuous monitoring deliverables.
• Evaluate system security controls for effectiveness and policy alignment.
• Interpret findings with ISSOs/ISSMs and recommend remediation actions.
• Analyze changes and vulnerability outputs for authorization impact and risk level.
• Support RMF lifecycle with assessment evidence and documentation.
• Deliver clear, risk-focused briefings to system owners.
