Job summary

Leidos in Springfield, VA seeks an Information System Security Officer (MID) to support the Homeland Enterprise IT Secure Services and Support contract under DHS ITP. The role focuses on security accreditation, sustainment, vulnerability management, and documentation across ATO/IA activities.

The candidate will coordinate weekly scans, develop test plans, and brief senior stakeholders, with a DHS EOD SCI eligibility requirement. This is a full-time, on-site position in the Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree plus 8+ years relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years relevant experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience developing technical documents, analyses, and reports.
Experience presenting briefings to senior management and stakeholders.
Ability to obtain DHS EOD SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

Support security engineering and deploy security tech for external insider threats and cyber ops.
Resolve UAM issues within 48 hours; govt acknowledgement within 1 hour during business hours.
Perform weekly vulnerability scans in line with FISMA requirements.
Coordinate with system owners to schedule scans and forward results to the ITP.
Assist with security assessments: scope, test plan, A&A docs, findings, and briefings.
Provide quarterly scan-coverage status and monthly analysis reports.
Conduct ITP-directed scans for operational matters and advise on baseline compliance.
Review ATO/ATC/IATT; plan A&A packages; maintain BOE documents.
Collaborate with government data center to include documentation in BOE.
Update security posture docs following software updates and patches.
