Job summary

American Operations Corporation seeks an Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) to support Hanscom Air Force Base's Information Assurance program. The ISSO will develop, implement, and maintain IA practices across DoD and AF guidance, ensuring proper authorization and security controls for sensitive environments.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Cybersecurity/IT or equivalent, six years of cybersecurity experience in DoD or federal agencies, CISSP, and a Secret clearance (Top Secret

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent; an additional four years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Six years of cybersecurity experience within the DoD or another Federal agency.
• Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD, and applicable Federal cybersecurity directives and instructions.
• CISSP certification required.
• Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred.
• Ability to work with people on formal and informal projects and conduct technical interchanges as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, oversee, and maintain the IA program, including IA requirements, personnel, processes, and procedures.
• Supervise the IA program and ensure compliance with Air Force IA policies and procedures.
• Implement and enforce Air Force IA policies using AF guidance and specialized IA publications.
• Ensure users have required security clearances and need-to-know authorization prior to access.
• Ensure IA refresher training is conducted annually.
• Develop and maintain C&A documentation for systems connected to Hanscom Network.
