Job summary

American Operations Corporation seeks an Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) to support Hanscom Air Force Base's Information Assurance program. The ISSO will develop, implement, and maintain IA practices across DoD and AF guidance, ensuring proper authorization and security controls for sensitive environments.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Cybersecurity/IT or equivalent, six years of cybersecurity experience in DoD or federal agencies, CISSP, and a Secret clearance (Top Secret

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent; an additional four years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Six years of cybersecurity experience within the DoD or another Federal agency.
• Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD, and applicable Federal cybersecurity directives and instructions.
• CISSP certification required.
• Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred.
• Ability to work with people on formal and informal projects and conduct technical interchanges as required.

American Operations Corporation (AOC) is seeking an Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) to support the customer organization’s Information Assurance (IA) program at Hanscom Air Force Base. The ISSO will develop, implement, oversee, and maintain the organization’s IA program, ensuring that IA requirements, personnel, processes, and procedures are properly established and enforced. The position supports IA requirements across Secret, Top Secret (TS), TS/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) environments.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, oversee, and maintain the customer organization’s Information Assurance (IA) program, including IA requirements, personnel, processes, and procedures.
• Supervise the customer organization’s IA program.
• Implement and enforce Air Force IA policies and procedures using applicable Air Force guidance and specialized IA publications.
• Comply with installation WCSO policy and direction.
• Ensure all users have the required security clearances, supervisory need-to-know authorization, and awareness of their IA responsibilities before receiving access to Air Force information systems, in accordance with AFSSI 8522.
• Ensure all users receive IA refresher training annually.
• Develop and maintain Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation for organization-specific systems connected to the Hanscom Network.
