Job summary

Unisity, LLC is seeking a Level II Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our information assurance program. The role focuses on implementing security policies, maintaining documentation, and assisting in C&A processes in line with NIST RMF and DoD requirements.

Responsibilities include configuration management for security software and hardware, developing security policies, and supporting the ISSM to maintain an appropriate IA posture for the system and enclave.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Must include at least two of: knowledge of current security tools; hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols and encryption techniques/tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level I or higher is required.
• Education substitution: four (4) years of additional ISSO experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to senior ISSOs for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of documentation.
• Assist in evaluation of security solutions to meet security requirements for processing classified information.
• Assist with configuration management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, switches, etc., including upgrades.
• Develop and maintain documentation for Certification and Accreditation (C&A) in accordance with ODNI and DoD policies.
• Provide configuration management for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware.
• Develop system security policy and ensure compliance.
• Provide support for ISSM in maintaining appropriate IA posture.
• Develop and update System Security Plans and IA documentation.
• Assist with management of security aspects of the information system and day-to-day operations.
• Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms of the Information System.
• Obtain Certification and Accreditation for information systems under their purview.
