Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a mid-level Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to secure a DoD VDI environment and support operations in Arlington, VA and Fairfax, VA. The position requires 3–5 years of cybersecurity experience, a DoD clearance or eligibility, and hands-on work with RMF, A&A, and vulnerability management.

The ISSO will monitor security, coordinate with stakeholders, maintain documentation, and help sustain customer projects using eMASS, ACAS, and HBSS.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen with a DoD clearance or eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3–5 years in cybersecurity.
• Experience with DoD cyber frameworks and RMF.
• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead A&A, configuration management, continuous monitoring, and incident response.
• Support eMASS-based customer projects and tooling.
• Apply RMF and STIGs to secure environments.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on security compliance.
• Provide knowledge transfer to teammates and clients.
• Work on Arlington, VA with local trips to Fairfax, VA.

Active DoD Secret clearance

Ability to obtain TS/SCI

RMF/DoD guidance familiarity
