Job summary

ASEC, Inc has an opening for an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) at NAS Lemoore, CA. This on-site role supports a high-visibility DoD program and enforces information system security policies and standards to protect mission-critical systems.

The ISSO will conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans with ACAS, STIGs and SCAP, monitor with Splunk and SolarWinds, prepare SSPs/ATO packages, and collaborate across teams to meet program milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 10 years ISSO experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years in Information Assurance/Cybersecurity (IA/CS).
• Experience with RMF, CNSSI 1253, NIST SP 800-53 and JSIG.

Responsibilities

• Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information security policies and standards.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using ACAS, STIGs, and SCAP.
• Monitor systems with SolarWinds or Splunk for security events and compliance.
• Apply DISA STIGs to OS and network devices configurations.
• Perform security control continuous monitoring, audits, and risk analyses.
