Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an experienced Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) to support a major federal initiative. The ISSO guides system owners and security teams through RMF, ATO, and continuous monitoring activities across hybrid cloud and on‑premises environments.

You will lead design of secure cloud architectures (AWS, Azure), implement NIST 800-53 controls, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with federal requirements while engaging with cross‑functional teams onsite.

Qualifications

• Active and maintained SECRET clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Must be eligible to participate in a DoW SkillBridge program.
• Within 180 days of military separation or retirement and on track for an Honorable Discharge.
• 1–7 years of cybersecurity or secure systems engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead secure cloud architecture design across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.
• Implement and validate NIST 800-53 controls and cloud security services.
• Conduct cloud threat modeling, risk assessments, and architecture reviews.
• Oversee baselines using STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and SCAP.
• Mentor junior staff and guide DevSecOps in secure CI/CD and IaC validation.
