Job summary

Leidos Dynetics is seeking an Information System Security Officer to support classified information systems and cybersecurity operations in Huntsville, Alabama. The role involves RMF lifecycle support, security control assessments, vulnerability management, and documentation across assigned programs.

Applicants must hold an active Secret clearance and be eligible for Top Secret post‑hire, with on‑site work at the Huntsville office and up to 20% telework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of cybersecurity or information systems security experience.
• Must meet DCW(D) 8140 qualification requirements through approved certification, education, training, or experience.
• Familiarity with RMF and cybersecurity control implementation, assessment, or compliance activities.
• Experience in cybersecurity, information systems security, system administration, hardening, vulnerability management, or compliance auditing.
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems and related security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform security monitoring and compliance reviews of classified information systems and report deficiencies to the ISSM.
• Assist RMF lifecycle activities and maintain authorization artifacts and BoE.
• Support implementation and continuous monitoring of security controls per SPs and procedures.
• Conduct STIG/SCAP, vulnerability scanning, and configuration reviews.
• Document findings and coordinate remediation with IT and engineering teams.
• Review change requests and ensure proper documentation through the CCB.
• Support periodic assessments and audits to validate security compliance.
• Review security logs and audit information using SIEM tools.
• Assist in cybersecurity incident response, containment, and reporting.
