Job summary

McNair High School is seeking an ISS Paraprofessional to support its Discipline and Character Development Program. The role focuses on implementing instruction, promoting high academic expectations, and collaborating with team members to aid student learning.

Essential duties include providing small group or individualized instruction, assisting with classroom management, and helping with assessments and material preparation. Strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Small-group or individualized instruction per lesson plans.
• Assist with daily classroom management to promote a conducive learning environment.
• Assist with assessment of student performance (standardized and non-standardized) and related recordkeeping.
• Assist with development and organization of instructional materials and ensure availability for scheduled segments.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and/or individualized instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Support classroom management to maintain an effective learning environment.
• Assist with assessments and recordkeeping for student performance.
• Develop and organize instructional materials as needed and prepare them before lessons.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
