Job summary

The Jewish Education Project seeks a Director of Immersives and Cohorts to design and implement immersive educator experiences in Israel. You will lead on-the-ground facilitation, weave a cohesive pedagogical narrative, and ensure educators return ready to teach Israel differently.

Reporting to the Managing Director of Israel Education, you will shape the framework-driven portfolio, collaborate with partners, and manage pre/post learning. This is a hybrid NYC-based role with significant travel.

Qualifications

• Israel Expertise with leadership experience in Israel education or Jewish education.
• 5+ years designing and facilitating professional development or educational travel.
• Proven track record creating immersive, cohort-based programming from concept to delivery.
• Experience collaborating with guides, local experts, and ground operators.
• Ability to build trust-based relationships and sustain engagement across partners and participants.
• Willingness to travel extensively to Israel (6–10 weeks per year).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver seven 7‑day immersive educator experiences in Israel with a cohesive pedagogical arc.
• Lead on-the-ground facilitation, coordinating with a licensed Israeli tour guide and subject-matter experts.
• Curate site visits, guest speakers, and experiential moments that model diverse Israeli voices.
• Manage pre-trip preparation and post-trip integration to extend impact.
• Refine trip models based on feedback, data, and evolving realities in Israel.
• Build audience strategies and manage applications to form diverse cohorts.
• Integrate the Reimagining Israel Education Framework across trips.
• Oversee operations with ground operator including logistics and housing.
