Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Allentown, PA is seeking a Quality Manager to lead our ISO 9001-based QMS within the Smart Storage team on site. You will establish, implement, and maintain quality processes and work instructions while driving continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least five years in quality management in ISO manufacturing, and Six Sigma Black Belt certification or ASQ CQE.

Qualifications

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of quality management experience within ISO manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma Black Belt preferred or ASQ certified quality engineer preferred.
• Experience with APQP, 8D, Six Sigma and Corrective Action tools.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the quality management system per ISO 9001.
• Ensure QMS processes are established, implemented, and maintained.
• Plan and direct activities associated with development, implementation, and maintenance of quality standards, processes, and work instructions.
• Ensure customer needs (corrective actions, 8D’s, etc.) are met and addressed in a timely manner.
• Review internal and external audits and drive root-cause investigations.
• Work with manufacturing and other functions to troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions.
