Job summary

Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort on Fripp Island, South Carolina is seeking a Program Coordinator in Recreation. The role develops, facilitates, and manages a variety of special events and programs across the island, overseeing staff and interns during the peak summer season.

You will plan guest services and events, train staff, handle reservations, and collaborate with the Recreation Director while maintaining a warm, guest-focused atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience in resort/hospitality is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• CPR and First Aid certified is preferred.
• Ability to pass South Carolina Mandated Reporter course required.
• Ability to organize, plan, prioritize and multi-task with integrity and a team-oriented attitude.
• Must work a 40-hour week with flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• May read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and assists Recreation interns with summer programs (arts and crafts, kids/teens, family activities).
• Develops plans for guest services including holidays and events.
• Communicates with Recreation staff on events and programs, planning, staffing, and execution.
• Gains exposure to resort operations to provide accurate island information.
• Takes reservations for recreation activities in-person and by phone.
