Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Irrigation Systems Technician to operate and maintain the island's irrigation and drainage systems on Ocean Cay. You will monitor water usage, adjust computer controls, inspect heads and pumps, and perform preventive maintenance.

You will design, implement and maintain mechanical and electrical components, repair irrigation pipes and valves, keep maintenance records, order parts, and assist in weather and rainfall data logging.

Qualifications

• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• Some experience with landscaping, golf course grounds, or irrigation systems.
• Basic knowledge of electricity and hydraulics related to irrigation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain irrigation and drainage systems on Ocean Cay island reserve.
• Monitor daily water usage and adjust computer settings as needed.
• Repair irrigation pipes, valves, heads, and related components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep complete maintenance records.
• Order parts and manage inventory for irrigation equipment.
• Assist with weather and rainfall data logging and reporting.
