Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a General Maintenance Worker for our ISS2 contact supporting the Air Force, located on Wake Island. This rotational role is 3 months on, 1 month off, with on-site dormitory housing and meals provided.

Transportation from your home base to Hawaii and to Wake Island is arranged by the employer. You will perform general maintenance and repairs across multiple trades, assist journeyman personnel, and ensure safety and compliance with plans and regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience in maintenance trades.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Must pass a background check, drug screening, fingerprints, and a fit-for-duty physical exam; medically cleared for long-term residency in a remote location.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and grounds maintenance.
• Assist journeyman level trades personnel with assigned work orders and routine maintenance tasks.
• Supply materials and tools, maintain clean work area, and operate equipment safely.
• Make repairs to walls/ceilings and replace damaged ceiling tiles as needed.
• Replace or repair sinks, water coolers, and toilets; assist with corrosion control techniques.
• Replace concrete floors, doors, windows, and related hardware; inspect to ensure compliance.
