Job summary

ASRC Federal Communications seeks a Stationary Engineer for the ISS2 contract at Eareckson Air Station, Alaska. The role supports operation and maintenance of the main power plant and a large fleet of generators, with on-site housing and meals provided.

This is a temporary, rotational position up to 90 days per cycle on the remote island facility. The incumbent ensures safety, compliance with regulations, and reliable power generation, performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and rapid

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Five (5) years' related work experience in operations or maintenance.
Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
U.S. citizen.
Ability to pass pre-employment background check, fingerprints and drug test.

Responsibilities

Operates and maintains four 4.4-megawatt engine-driven generators located in the primary power plant.
Operates and maintains 33 emergency standby generators ranging from 10kw to 500 kw.
Maintains and exercises all generators and generator assets periodically to ensure reliability.
Performs preventive and unscheduled maintenance on auxiliary equipment (pumps, purifiers, pumps, and systems).
Ensures safety regulations and practices are followed.
Maintains, repairs, and overhauls equipment including disassembly and replacement of parts.
Reads and interprets gauges, meters, charts, and technical manuals.
Maintains maintenance logs and records.
