Job summary

Aloha United Way, Inc. seeks an experienced 211 Community Outreach Specialist to extend access to 211 services across the neighbor island service area.

You will collaborate with community partners, government agencies, and health and human service providers to raise awareness and usage of 211 resources. You will lead outreach activities, represent AUW 211 at events, build relationships, track outcomes, and support disaster response outreach in coordination with county and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; or 2+ years in outreach or related work with a HS diploma/GED.
• Knowledge of nonprofit/human services landscape and community networks.
• Experience in public speaking or community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead outreach activities in the assigned area.
• Represent AUW 211 and communicate available services to access 211.
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
• Identify and cultivate new partnerships to expand 211 reach.
• Develop and distribute outreach materials for local audiences.
• Collaborate with AUW teams to align outreach with priorities.
• Represent AUW 211 in coalitions and public forums.
• Serve as emergency outreach liaison coordinating with county partners.
• Identify resources for the AUW 211 database and support updates.
