Job summary

United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County is seeking an Outreach & Disaster Response Coordinator for the 2-1-1 program. You will lead community outreach, build partnerships, and coordinate disaster information and response efforts across the Middle Rio Grande Region.

In this role you will manage data collection, support emergency management activities, and ensure resource information is accurate and accessible to the public during crises. Evening/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred in Health & Human Services, Social Services or related field.
• Five to eight years of progressive experience in outreach, emergency management, nonprofit leadership or human services.
• Knowledge of Texas 2-1-1, TIRN, and Inform USA standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver presentations to nonprofit, faith-based, government, healthcare partners and community groups.
• Coordinate disaster-related resource information and notifications for 2-1-1 staff and TIRN members.
• Lead community outreach, partnership development and emergency management activities across the region.
• Represent 2-1-1 at events, coalitions and conferences; build strategic partnerships.
• Provide operational support during high call-volume periods and disasters.
