Responsibilities

• Develop and promote learning and a nurturing environment for restaurant team members focusing on cooking techniques, knife skills, time management and accountability.
• Maintain appropriate staff levels based on projected sales and business needs.
• Cultivate open, authentic dialogue with the restaurant team, senior team and home office partners.
• Proactive performance management with the General Manager to ensure policy adherence.
• Stay up-to-date with current food trends through vendor partnerships.
• Assist Executive Chef with daily, weekly, and monthly specials and menu development.
• Minimize turnover by effective hiring, orientation, training, and coaching.
• Facilitate company learning programs and ensure transfer of learned skills on-the-job.
• Aim to achieve or exceed kitchen financial targets (food cost, labor, and expenses).
