Qualifications

• Must hold ISBE Special Education Teacher certification (LBS1/Type 10).
• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from an accredited college or university.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with Chicago Public School electronic IEP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized curriculum and therapeutic programming per IEP.
• Manage a safe, healthy classroom aligned to student needs and activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement IEP-driven program.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans, grade reports, IEP reports and assessments.
• Ensure effective home-school communications and parent collaborations.
