Job summary

POSITION SUMMARY

Enhances the quality of life for Credit Union members/team members by meeting or exceeding their service expectations. Shows a strong aptitude for problem solving and analysis as this person works to provide the Credit Union with concise, accurate and clear explanations for various data related inquires, by leveraging several tools, and resources. Works with management and senior analysts to learn the detailed nuances of our systems and processes, constantly developing and implementing the skillset required to provide effective recommendations for modifications to our systems, and business processes. Participates in the installation and maintenance of various non operating system related software and automation, under the guidance of management and/or senior staff as to provide reliable and uninterrupted service to our members and staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Data Analysis and Reporting – Provides data analysis on a variety of business-related data from multiple systems, tying that information together, and aggregating it as needed to provide a concise and clear picture of that which is being analyzed. Reviews and edits variety reports, utilizing a variety of tools, systems, and programming languages. Clearly and succinctly providing Credit Union staff with accurate and contextual analysis on reports and data.
  • Business Analysis – Actively strives to learn our systems, processes, and industry standards, by working with management and senior analysts to develop the skillset required to effectively identify issues and make recommendations. Regularly meets with departments to evaluate new and evolving business needs. Writes and maintains both functional and procedural documentation in accordance with Credit Union policy and procedure.
  • Application Maintenance and Monitoring – Participates in the careful installation, implementation, and configuration of non-operating system software, gaining firsthand experience and knowledge of Credit Union processes and software. Installs and implements code from programmers into the core banking software. Monitors systems and automation on a daily basis, troubleshooting identified issues, designing possible fixes, reviewing those fixes with management or senior analysts, and then working closely with them to implement the approved solution. Participates in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by assisting management or senior analysts’ staff in the writing of UAT scripts, attending UAT meetings, providing clear instructions to non-technical staff, and answering various questions for the team, with succinctness and with clarity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field obtained through a formal 4- year program at an accredited educational facility preferred or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE:

1-3 years of Information Systems experience in financial institution preferred. Power-On experience preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of organization’s Employee Handbook and policies.
  • Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
